San Remo, also known as Sanremo, is a city in the north west of Italy. It is located in the province of Imperia in the Liguria region. The name of the city comes from a contraction of Sant’Eremo di San Romolo, which initially was San Rœmu, but was later altered to Remo. San Remo is a tourist town and it has a great position on the coast. The A10 motorway will take you into France and will also provide you great views of the coast from some of the viaducts comprising the elevated sections of the road.
