Kokura Shinkansen located in Kokura Kita ward is the chief train station in Kitakyushu, Japan. The station is part of the JR Kyushu network and the Sanyo Shinkansen has astoppage here. This is the 2nd major station in Kyushu with about 120,000 passengers daily. The station was latelyelaborated and reconstructed. The station was inaugurated on 1 April, 1891.
