Harrismith is a Free State province of South Africa and situated by the Wilge River. The town is located at the junction along the N5 highway. The Town Hallof Harrismith is a beautiful building made of sandstone and brick and was built in 1907, along with a National Monument. Its Platberg Reserve is amongst the most renowned landmarks present in the Eastern Free State. The reserve is extensive and covers the western slopes, as well as, the summit of the mountain, inclusive of the former Drakensberg Botanical Garden and different trails, along with the Donkey Pass road that to the mountain summit. The reserve is renowned and much loved by hikers and mountain bike riders. It’s two dams present in the former wildflower gardens are amongst the aqueductsseries, and flows from the Gibson Dam to the mountain summit.
