Tower Bridge, also often referred to as London Bridge, is a suspension bridge that crosses the River Thames. The bridge can open to pass tall boats through on the river. It is near to the Tower of London. There are 2 separate towers either side of the river that are joined by a walkway. The bridge’s current colours were chosen in 1977, red, white, and blue, in honour of the Queen’s Silver Jubilee.
