GFL Charles Airport or George F.L. Charles Airport is located 2km (1.2mi) north of Castries. It is the smaller of the two airports in Saint Lucia and is being managed by the Saint Lucia Air and Seaports Authority. There is an average 32000 flights per year that GFL Charles Airport handles and 394,000 passengers that it carries. It is named after Sir George Frederick Lawrence Charles.
The runway runs parallel to Vigie Beach, a pristine and popular tourist attraction. It is one of the beaches that you can visit while you’re within the area. There’s also the Malabar Beach, Choc Beach and even La Toc Beach. You could also visit other landmarks like the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
