An abode to the Western Australian Rail Transport Museum, Bassendean is a city of rich heritage. It is Perth’s northeastern suburb. The city was renamed to Bassendean in the year 1922. Originally the city was called West Guildford Road District.
The suburbs of Bassendean are naturally beautiful, like the city itself. They are Eden Hill and Ashfield. The Railway Transport Museum is ideal for history and culture enthusiasts. It offers visitors and tourists a great collection of railway and locomotive memorabilia. There is the West Australian Model Railway Club that is also a must visit site of Bassendean.
