We are two people from Canada in Spain for 3 weeks. I booked from Canada via VIP cars and chose Centauro for their prices and choice of cars, we needed a slightly larger car for rock climbing back packs and suitcases. After 3 weeks of travel in the local area and returning the car to the airport office, I can say we had a good experience. No hassles. We declined the extra insurance because we are covered, but the hard sell on extra insurance during pick up was mildly annoying. I do understand that in Spain if the vehicle is damaged, then they keep your deposit and you have to contest it with your own insurers who forewarned us back home. Luckily no damage. The gentleman during drop off was particularly friendly and we were having a good laugh. As always, at time of pick up, don't be casual. Always make sure you take a video of the complete car, inside and out. Our car was I put 2/3 full of gas when we picked up and they told me to take a photo , which they honored. For some reason, the Centauro contract says I needed an international driver's license, which I went through the trouble and cost of obtaining back home, but was very annoyed they didn't ask for it at time of rental. Overall, I would use VIP and Centauro again.
