Poste de Flacq, a fairly large village in Mauritius’ Flacq district, is best known for its open air markets and a large shopping complex. Known as VIP Center, the shopping arcade features number of shopping outlets as well as a spacious food court. Poste de Flacq also charms tourists with its beautiful temples, class leading golf courses, friendly environment, and hospitable people.

Car rental remains an undisputed choice for tourists willing to feel oneness with the Mother Nature. Take the Old Flacq road if you want to make most of your road trip, as the entire route crisscrosses through several beautiful townships. Surrounded by dense tall trees on both sides, the road takes you to La Nicoliere Lake before heading towards mountain slopes.

You can plan a trip to Shiv Sagar Temple, a famous shrine thronged by hundreds of tourists. Besides soaking you in divine sublimity, the islet temple lets you capture panoramic views of the village and ocean.

One of the best golf courses in Mauritius is also a ten minute drive from Poste de Flacq. Designed by Gary Player, a very successful golfer of his time, the One & Only Saint Géran Golf Club is known for its splendid layout. Do check out Belle Mare Plage golf club too, as it is also nearby. The place is also known for its stunningly beautiful beaches.
