Ingelheim, also known as Ingelheim am Rhein, is one of the towns of Rhineland-Palatinate, located in the district of Mainz-Bingen. It is largely spread on the western bank of the Rhine River. Also hailed as the Red Wine Town or Rotweinstadt, Ingelheim is famous for its carnival culture, and particularly the Mainz Carnival.
