The island of Thassos or Thasos is situated near the coast of Thrace in the northern Aegean Sea. The northern-most island of Greece, Thasos is relatively less visited and as such is less crowded than other Greek tourist spots. Other popular attractions in Thasos include the Archangel Michael’s Monastery, Saint Pantelemoin’s Monastery, and the Archeological Museum of Thasos.
