Port Victoria is the capital of the Seychelles and often goes by the name of Victoria as well. It is located on the north east of Mahé Island and is home to the majority of the population of the Seychelles. Although Mahé Island is not a large island you will need a car in order to explore and make the most of everything there is on offer, which you can hire through VIP cars. If you dream of pristine, sandy beaches you can head to Beau Vallon Beach, which lies only 3km outside of the capital. If you like spices Le Jardin du Roi should be one of your destinations as it is a reconstruction of one of the early spice plantations. The gardens contain vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon, as well as a planter’s house.
