A suburb of Perth, the name Osborne Park originates from a historical source. The town was named after William Osborne, who was a butcher and he owned an abattoirs that on Wanneroo Road. William Osborne was elected in the year 1875 to the Perth Road Board, which is a predecessor of the City of Sterling.

Osborne Park was originally a market garden. Because of the peaty enriched soil present in swamps between Herdsman Lake and Lake Monger, it provide abundance of produce and hence were market gardens. Osborne Park after the World War II became a residential region. However, by the 80s it started to develop as an industrial region. The suburb has the presence of many small businesses and warehouses as their location and also large retailers, like Officeworks, Harvey Norman, IGA, Hungry Jack’s and more.
