Bregenz is a town in the western most part of Austria on the shore of Lake Constance. For most of the year it is a small, quiet town with under 30,000 inhabitants. Once a year it comes bursting to life with its very popular festival, Bregenzer Festspiele. The festival is held each summer on the shore of the lake and attracts thousands of visitors. Mainly centered on opera music, the festival also offers theatrical performances.
