Hilleroed or Hillerød is a Danish city nestled between magnificent forests of North Zealand. It is the main city in one of the five regions of Denmark and the third largest city. The city is also known for being the transportation hub of the North Zealand and a regional center.
Hilleroed’s most famous for its centuries-old Frederiksborg Castle at the center of the town which was where the Old Danish kings used to reside. Other equally interesting attractions are spread throughout town which is why a car rental is a good idea.
