Hoersholm is a coastal town in the municipality of Hoersholm. The Hoersholm downtown was established in the 1730s surrounding the Hirschholm Palace and from then grew to become what it is today.
Being an old establishment, Hoersholm downtown is rich in history, culture and arts. It is best toured using a car rental. Start your sightseeing by driving to the Horscholm Church which was built in 1883 in commemoration of the Hirschholm Palace, which was destroyed in the early 18th century. Make sure to tour the place as you will find old gardens of the Palace and the Danish Museum of Hunting and Forestry nearby.
Also find time to visit the Horsholm Local Museum if you want to know more about the town’s past and specifically of Hirschholm Palace. Other must visit sites are: Rungsted Marina, Gammel Holtegard and Trommen Cultural Center.
