Ahrenburg is a small town in the state of Schleswig-Holstein. It is near to the major city of Hamburg and is part of that city’s greater metropolitan region. The region was inhabited since the Stone Age, but the actually modern town was settled by a count as Woldenhorn in the 1300s. From this settlement, it grew into modern day Ahrenburg.
