The medieval and historic Goslar Downtown is situated upon the northwest slopes of the mountain range of Harz in the state of Lower Saxony. Currently, the Zwinger is home to the Museum of the Late Middle Ages where you can find extensive exhibits of musketeers and knights armour and weaponry. St. Anne’s House was established in the late 14th century as an almshouse and is now a well-preserved half-timbered house. It boasts of a baroque altar, medieval kitchen, Romanesque stone and an old Margaret Tapestry.
