Kefalonia Port Sami is a wonderful tourist spot because of all the attractions in it. There is the famous Melissani Cave, which is a cave that is b-shaped with two chambers and an island in the middle. The roof of one of the chambers caved in thousands of years ago, so now light can filter in. The other cave to visit is the Drogarati Cave. This cave is about 60 meters deep and showcases interesting stalagmites and stalactites. Another place to visit is the Monastery of Agrilion, which is found on the top of the hill of Sami and is dedicated to Virgin Mary Theotokos. There is also Ancient Acropolis to visit. It is found in the Lapitha Mountain just about the port town of Sami and people can see the citadel built during the Hellenistic Period. Go around Kefalonia in a car rental.
