Chivasso is a small town located in the north west of the country in the Turin Province of the Piedmont region. The town itself is based only 20 km to the north east of Turin city. It lies on the bank of the river Po. The town has good transport links as it lies on the Milan to Turin railway line and also has connections to Casale Monferrato, Asti and Aosta. It also has good road links onto the A4 into Turin and also northeast to the eastern parts of the country. Within the town is the 15th century Cathedral, which has a beautiful facade ornamented with a number of terracotta statues.
