On the north-eastern coast of Malta, Gzira is popular in part due to its central location. From the seafront, one can see fabulous views of the old walled city of Valletta, with Manoel Island in the forefront. At night, the ruins illuminated and reflections dancing on the water give the area a different look. There is a public garden on the seafront in Gzira, and a fairly busy yacht marina.
