Ciudad Juarez, originally Ciudad Norde, is a city in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. It is a large city on the Rio Grande, and sits on the border, across from El Paso, Texas. These two cities, Ciudad-Juarez and El Paso, are the second largest bi-national municipality. Despite the crimes often reported in the area, it is one of the fastest growing cities in Mexico. There are some interesting points in Ciudad Juarez that are worth visiting. Several museums commemorate frontier life and the development of the city. The nearby copper canyon train is an interesting excursion throughout central Mexico, and gives visitors a change to see rural Mexico.
