Stellenbosch is a town located in the Province of Western Cape of South African. The town is situated in the east at a space of about 50 km from Cape Town. The town is located in the banks of the river of Eerste. The Stellenbosch University is also located here. The town is quite old. It ranks 2nd in terms of oldest European settlements in the entire province. The city is referred to the City of Oaks because it has huge plantation of Oak trees. Stellenbosch is located amidst the hilly areas of Cape Wine lands. This gives the town pleasant and excellent scenery. Apart from viticulture, wine is also produced here.
