Springburn is an inner city area of the large Scottish city of Glasgow. It is in the northern part of the city. It grew from a small hamlet. It underwent industrial expansion over the years. The locomotive industry was particularly strong. The highest point in Springburn, and within the entire City of Glasgow, is the well-known Balgrayhill Park. A statue commemorating the park’s founder can be found within the grounds. There are plans for regeneration, as the area is home to some lovely old, but now disused, buildings. There are two train stations close to the area. Several public houses, take away food shops, convenience stores and restaurants can be found in Springburn. A good way to get around the area is with car rental from VIP Cars. A great selection of different makes and models is available, all at very competitive prices.
