Wick is an estuary town in the Scottish county of Caithness. It is in the north Highland area and sits alongside the River Wick. It is also next to the lovely Wick Bay. There are three harbours in the town, with Wick Inner Harbour having a large marina complex. It is a popular base for leisure boat trips. Scottish whisky aficionados will enjoy a visit to the Pulteney Distillery and visitor centre. Sample some of the locally produced malt whisky. The Castle of Old Wick ruins occupy a really beautiful place, sitting on rocky outcrops with an ocean backdrop. It is picture perfect. The Heritage Museum is an interesting place to visit, and Ebenezer Place is the world’s shortest street. You won’t need to spend too long here, as it only measures a little over two meters long.
