Montrose is a municipality and seat of its namesake county in the US state of Colorado. The second largest town in western Colorado, Montrose is also a part of Uncompahgre Valley. This city is a part of the Colorado wine belt and has some of the highest vineyards in the country. The Montrose Regional Airport serves this city and is used by travelers visiting the nearby ski areas.
Montrose offers a number of attractions for travelers to visit. Wine Tasting tours are regularly organized by tour operators and can be availed upon. The Montrose County Historical Museum, the Ute Indian Museum and Ouray Memorial Park, the Cimarron Railroad Exhibits, and the Museum of the Mountain West are other prominent attractions here. Travelers can also visit the town of Crested Butte and explore the many winter sport activities such as skiing, snowboarding, biking etc offered here.
