Harlingen Airport, also called the Valley International Airport (VIA), is the main gateway of departure for the Rio Grande Valley. It is served by major carriers United and Southwest Airlines. It’s also offers arrivals and departures from Sun Country Airlines, a charter company.

Like most airports, VIA has an assortment of restaurants and cafes for your convenience. In 1967 the airbase was taken over by civilian management and converted into a public airport
