Sheridan city is located in Sheridan County, Wyoming. Sheridan is a classic boom and bust town. In the precedent 10 years, Sheridan has been making over itself as a tourist spot where people can get a look of the old west and delight several features of the new west. The city is a destination for several people visiting the Black Hills or Yellowstone. The city has several events around the year and one of the biggest events is the Sheridan Rodeo. Trail End State Historic Site is a mansion completed in 1913 and was home of John Benjamin Kendrick. Museums in the city include the King's Saddlery Museum and Sheridan County Museum. The City of Sheridan preserves 9 parks. Kendrick Park has an ice cream shop, a buffalo and elk conservatory, and a children's play area. In the 2nd week of July every summer, the city hosts the WYO Rodeo.
