A country town located in Hesse, Germany, Haiger lies west of Dillenburg and southeast of Siegen. It is considered as the northernmost town of the district where it belongs to. Although quite secluded than the other towns and cities, it is nonetheless beautiful and interesting in its own right. The Heimatmuseum Haiger is one of the half-timbered houses that line the entire city. It tells the local history of Haiger and was established around 1970s to commemorate the town’s anniversary. The other two museums are Leinenmuseum Haigerseelbach and the Heimatstube Sechshelden. There’s also the Stadtkirche Haiger which is now the town’s church but was once believed to have been used for pagan purposes.
